Ola mi famile! Como estas?

Hi all :) It’s been a great trip and I can’t believe we are already on our last full day. We visited Havana for a 16 hour excursion which was amazing! We also went on a ‘safari’ trip and drove a jeep through some rural areas, went snorkeling, swam in a cenote (cave pool), and visited a farm where we had a lovely meal. Kids rode horses and we had some authentic cafe Cubano. Alma and I also went into Varadero to see the Buena Vista Social Club band which was amazing! Today we are heading out for some free time and souvenir shopping in Varadero.

Probably my biggest highlight though was all four of us jumping waves in the Caribbean Sea after a rainstorm one afternoon. The water was as warm as a bathtub and the waves were huge. It was totally blissful.

Anyhow, we are heading home tomorrow. Leaving from Juan Gomez aeropuerto to Toronto, then to Calgary, then finally back to Victoria around midnight pst. We are staying again at the Days Inn in Sidney then will head home in the morning.
