this is from last May. I remember the day, it was warm and sunny. Today was also warm (for January) with a few teases of sunshine. We went for a walk, out for breakfast, played around with our Spain and Portugal slideshow and generally just lazed about. Then watching the news tonight destroyed my sense of peace and well being – Trump’s series of executive orders are coming fast and furiously. Today with a stroke of the pen, he has banned all immigration from 7 middle eastern countries. There are now many hundreds that were en route or already in airports ready to embrace their new country only to find that the head of state wants them to go home. My god, how much more do these people have to bear. Hopefully at least these refugees will be allowed in as they were promised – given now a subsequent court order to do so. What has been unleashed upon us!
