Dogs really know how to be in the moment. It took me about 15 attempts to manage to throw the stick and take the picture in time to catch her mid jump. She was having a blast and likely couldn’t believe her good fortune to have this human throwing stick after stick for her to fetch. Ha, ha..too funny. I on the other hand was getting a little frustrated, more than a little wet from her gleeful shaking of water from her fur. Finally I took the shot, fell over and she brought the stick and proceeded to lick my face. Too bad I didn’t get a hot of that! Gone went my frustration. Its all good. We went back on the trail, I took her home and was left missing Mollie. I found some old pictures of her from 2008 – as a pup. Well, I know she is in good hands – better on the farm with Mike than here in the city. And we don’t really own dogs – we just get to have them in our lives for awhile.

Great shot! And great description of the challenge it entailed. Dogs are pretty great.
